Our clinical study participants play a very important role in finding new, improved treatments for metabolic-related diseases, including type 1 diabetes, type 2 diabetes, nonalcoholic steatohepatitis (NASH), and obesity. Study participants range from people who are diagnosed with a metabolic-related disease, such as type 1 or type 2 diabetes, to people who are overweight or have high cholesterol, and even people who are healthy and have no related symptoms.
In cooperation with the pharmaceutical industry and academic centers, we perform clinical research studies for the development and testing of new drugs and medical devices to treat diabetes, NASH, obesity and other related metabolic diseases. This includes examining the effectiveness and safety of new investigational medicines, diagnostics, and new methods of administering existing therapeutics, such as insulin that can be inhaled and artificial pancreas systems.
