ProSciento’s specialized clinical research unit (CRU) is located in Chula Vista, a vibrant Southern California city 10 miles south of the San Diego airport. The CRU specializes in metabolic studies and has conducted more than 425 clinical research trials in obesity, diabetes, MASLD/MASH, and related metabolic diseases for small and large molecule therapies, biologics, biosimilars, and medical devices. Research conducted at the CRU has been at the forefront of metabolic clinical research, contributing to the development of advanced methodologies, including imaging and circulating biomarkers, glucose clamp procedures, tracer studies, and glucose monitoring systems.

    ProSciento has a state-of-the-art clinical research unit (CRU) in Southern California. Many clients choose to include ProSciento’s CRU as a site in a global, multi-site program or as the sole facility for a single-site project.

    ProSciento began operations in 2003 and is widely recognized as the center of excellence for early phase clinical R&D. ProSciento’s clinical facility is located in Chula Vista, a vibrant city that is 10 miles south of San Diego’s downtown.

    ProSciento’s clinical facility has 21,000 square feet of treatment and related office space, including 30 treatment beds, all of which have privacy curtains, televisions and Wi-Fi for the comfort of our clinical study participants.

    ProSciento’s CRU includes an on-site CLIA-certified laboratory and USP 797/800 clean room for pharmaceutical product compounding and an on-site staff of medical professionals, including physicians, physician assistants, and registered nurses.
